Happy 4th of July. We are starting the Webb-Carroll family blog. This is a space to gather family stories, history, memories and photos.
Here are some family stories we would be glad to hear more about. Many of these came up during the recent (June 2008) family reunion in Dallas, Texas:
-the Webb Hotel in Olney Texas; it was in operation until about 1935 or so.
-Ruth being hired at the Webb Hotel; Roy Lee as son of the owner.
-Grandmother Susan Alice Bowermaster Webb. Was she tiny?
-Olney High School sports: football, basketball, baseball?
-rough-breaking horses with Roscoe; measles epidemic?
-Roy Lee and Ruth on the honky-tonk dance floor?

I'm commenting here just as a test. I looked closely at the death certificate and find it very interesting. It seems to clear up the question of what year Grandpa Webb was born, although the town of Birth is just confused a little bit.
